I dropped my optimus g pro and shattered the screen. I ordered a new digitizer online and replaced the glass today. When i power the phone on all i get is the home button cycling through its colours, the top left button when pressed makes a small vibration, when i plug the USB cable into my PC i get the LG-E980 icon but it doesn't contain any files or folders, nor can it see my sdcard.

I re did the repair, i put the old digitizer back on, re did the repair again but still am having no luck. Does anyone know what is happening? Is it salvageable or should i cut my losses and go out and buy a new device?

Russ.

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like either something else besides the screen got damaged from the fall, or something went wrong with the repair. Either way, you'd probably need a technician to actually look at the phone to figure it out. You could always bring it in for an estimate, and if it'll end up costing a bundle, it's probably better to get a new phone.
