Looks like the deal was only for adding a new line. It wouldn't let me upgrade an existing with the verizon deal. I wouldn't be able to keep my #.

So the best buy deal is not a Verizon contract? I assume that's how they get the low finance cost. If not good deal then! I'm not on unlimited, so I'm assuming they'd raise the plan to $40.

how is it a better deal? If you don't have the Verizon payment plan the line access is $40 instead of $20. the Verizon one is $5 a month, plus I traded in my old phone, seems like the same deal?

Just called and had my Nexus 5x activated , they view the device as the LG-H790. My G4 had a micro sim and I hacked it up trying to cut it down to fit in the 5x. They sent me a sim free of charge. I guess they do recognize and support the phone?

Re: It improve the battery life significantly battery life improved largely, now I'm sitting on 15hrs with 36% screen time and am at 43% battery. Couldn't be happier.
