So I was trying to get my Motorola Droid back to stock, so I downloaded an unroot.update.zip file and then tried to install it. Now it won't start up. The droid animation comes up, the eye comes up, and then nothing. I reboot and hold the 'x' button to get to recovery, and all I get is the /!\ screen. What do I do now? Please help. I hope I didn't brick it.

Push the volume rocker and camera button at the same time should get you past that. Its been so long that I've been stock I don't remember the options in the stock recovery menu

+1 , this is exactly what you will need to do. Then it will allow you to proceed as you are envisioning, with a menu and all :)
