Sending MMS and email attachments

Trying to send an audio file (not a big file at 562k) to a friend via MMS. My only options for attaching an audio file are some stupid ringtones. There is no option to go into the files and select the one I want. So I figured I would just send it through email. Well the email will only allow you to send photos. I had to transfer the file to my PC and send the email through my computer.

How do you send files through MMS or email?

For anyone who needs to know, just open the file with the FILES app or Astro File Manager and long press on the file for new options.
