Can't root Droid Razr M

When I started my new phone for the first time it installed the latest update 4.1.2 Now I'm unable to root with any tool I've found including motochopper. I need to root to get this things tether to work with my tablets. Also to customize my phone and get rid of bloatware. Is there a way to get rid of the latest update?
