+1 duh, I should have realized this. Just choose your favorite launcher and click always.

If you want to change launchers, go into your default launchers app (whichever one you choose) in your application manager, and press "clear defaults".

Out of those choices, Nova Launcher hands down. IMHO Golauncher Ex isn't even in the top ten, but people like it for some reason, just my opinion.

Did all of the above and just got another pop up asking how to complete action. Chrome or Internet.
I don't think Nova Launcher opens everything.

Nova launcher is a launcher, those are Internet browsers. You'll have to choose your default launcher, default browser, default gallery, default music player, default video player, default reader, etc....
Good news is in most cases you only have to do it once for each if you select always.
