Manually locking a device

Is there a way to manually lock the device instead of waiting for the amount of time you specify in setting to expire? I have the Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to quickly lock it with a key press or something similar. That way I can increase the time before it automatically lock for quicker access. Surely there's a way.

For a quick way to lock your phone you could try Screen Off & Lock from the Play Store.

Settings, lock screen, check box that says lock screen with power button.

Screen Off and Lock is my go-to also. You can add a small widget to your homescreen and just tap that to turn the screen off and instantly lock it. Save on your power button.
