I have the Galaxy S6 Active. One of the main reasons i got this phone was for the battery life. I purchased my phone in August 2015. I would use my phone all day (5:30 AM to 9:30 PM) and when i went to bed at night (Around 9:30 PM) i would have around 40% battery life left. In the last two weeks i have noticed very fast battery drain. When i would get in my card to drive home after work (5:00 PM) i would have around 20% battery life. What could be causing this?

I instalaled GSamBattery Monitr as i saw suggested here and the below are images from starting with a 100% charged battery, and using the phone as normal. I took the screen shot when i got to around 20% battery.

I am trying to figure out if this is a hardware or software issue.

Over time after multiple drains and charges the batteries don't hold up as well. This may be part of the issue.

I don't think batteries drain that fast after only 4 months of use.

OP, is it really cold where you work? Cold temps can cause the battery to drain rapidly.

I really believe that there is something that RECENTLY started running in the background. There is a "battery life" thread that this is discussed. You are not the only one experiencing this recent onset of excess battery drain.

Hold volume up-home-power when you turn it on and clear the cache partition. Really helped my battery life. There are threads on here that can help you do this. Doesn't effect your data at all so don't worry about that.

I use package disabler to disable apps I don't use. Maybe the update causes an ATT or Samsung App to drain the battery? Could it be Samsung Pay or one of those ATT drive mode or find your family apps?
