Why does it take so long to charge when phone is being used?

Takes long to charge when phone is being used

When the phone is kept idle the charging time says 45 min but when i start using it da charging time goes upto 1 hour 30 minutes??? Do i need to change my battery. I am using s6 edge

As you use the phone, it drains power from the battery so that translates to a longer charge time.

Just as when you fill a pail with water, it would take longer if there was a hole in it draining what you're putting in.
