Stock email gets "sign in failed"

Using the stock email app on galaxy S6, I have two yahoo addresses linked to the app. Getting notification "sign in failed" only happens when on cell almost 100% of the time. It sometimes works on cell but not often, works well on wifi. I've resigned in, cleared the email cache & wiped phone cache. The problem just keeps returning. Any ideas?
