Galaxy S7 doesn't play in car via fm transmitter

Hello my S7 doesn't seem to play in my car through the car speakers when I connect it to my fm transmitter. Now my S3 worked fine with no problems and I even tried that few days ago, I initially thought maybe there was a problem with the lead but tested my S3 out and no problems with the lead clearly. My friend has an S7 edge and I asked him to test it out on my car yesterday and his also didn't seem to play through the car speakers. I don't really know if anyone else uses an FM transmitter or not but if anyone has and knows how to fix this issue then please help. Maybe there is something I need to enable in settings or something else I need to do?

When you plug the usb cord into the fm transmitter device, pull down the quick settings menu in the S7 to see what options it has for usb connections...
