So when I first got the phone I was really happy with the battery life (similar to my iphone4). A couple of months in (and after installing a ton of apps) I saw my battery life plummet! Nothing in the battery usage really indicated what was going on so I started to work backwards with apps I had installed and I thought could cause an issue.
Luckily it was the 1st one I uninstalled.. .the YahooMail app! I was going from getting a half day on battery to going a full 24hrs and only draining ~40%
I had installed the yahoo mail app thinking that having YahooMail's push capability would be better on the battery then checking with the build in mail app every 15min via POP but I was wrong. It was an assumption because the iphone4 had a huge advantage on battery life using push rather then POP.
Anyway, I thought I'd pass this along in case it helped someone else!
Thanks
John
