4G/3G outage in NYC

In San Francisco, no 4G or 3G with 4G option On.... switched to 3G (CDMA only), and I have 3G... guess that will have to due until VZW fix the outrage.

I had terrible service late yesterday and today in the Bronx. When people talk about NYC they usually forget about the outter boroughs, including vzw, so this might be a little longer than most people

It's not that big a deal to have an outage -- it happens. What I want to know is why they do not send a free text message to let us know there are issues (They send them when they want to already).
Since I have the Bionic and it is prone to lose data service and my apps, I rebooted my phone at least 7 or 8 times before checking the forums and finding that it is a known issue.
BTW - hurry up with the update, I'm starting to regret buying this Bionic. Not only does it FAIL to "rule all machines" it doesn't even work properly on its on!

lucky you, I'm at 5th ave & 53rd street (29th fl) still on 3G. which beats no G, but geez I got this phone for the 4G goodness.
