A
Android Central Question
I am running a Pixel 2 with Android 9. I would like to upgrade to Android 10 to get security updates, but I can't tell if a key app I use is compatible with Android 10. It works with Android 9, but when I ask the developer's Support group if it works with Android 10, all I get is an informal "As far as I have tested on my Note 10 (Android 10) it's been working fine. I don't see any issues so far.". When I asked for more formal/official assurance I got radio silence. My challenge is that I run my life on this app and if it suddenly doesn't work or worse, scrambles my data, I'm in for a huge headache.
As background, the app is VCOrganizer Pro, which handles Contact, Calendar and Tasks, and I sync to Outlook on my desktop. That's pretty important for me!
So the questions are :
1) Does anyone else use VCOrganizer on Android 10? Any issues?
2) Is there any way to tell what versions of Android an app is certified for? Google Play just shows "Android 4.0 and up" - does that mean it's certified for 10?
3) Anyone have a list of known issues I should look out for within an app (especially any PIM apps) if I just roll the dice and upgrade?
TIA - R.
