Android suddenly glitches, help

[Android Central Question]

I have a problem with my phone which it suddenly glitches out completely, apps won't open anymore or even i many apps like whatsapp stop recieving any data like messages or notifications.

After a factory reset everything comes back to normal, but the problem comes back again randomly, and is even more often. I suspect it can be an app causing the problem, but it doesnt make sense since those apps aren't very uncommon or special, they shouldn't be causing it.

Does the problem persist in Safe Mode? That is the test for rogue apps.
