Buy s22 ultra or wait for s23 ultra

I love my s21ultra and plan on keeping it until it poops out, however I am wanting to upgrade after 2 years to a newer model. Sadly even considered a newer iPhone pro max phone also, but I'm not and never been an iPhone user.
Wanting advise whether I should wait for the s23 ultra to come out and wait awhile to see if any issues arise in the phone or jump into the s22 ultra? My 23 year old daughter bought herself the s22 ultra coming from iPhone system and has been totally in love with the phone ever since. I've read where the s23 ultra is supposed to be a bit of of an upgrade from the s22 ultra, however it's not been out or used by owners yet. As far as I have read the s7 note was the only phone to have major problems from the beginning.

Yeah, it's literally a week away. you'd have to be a dumbass to not wait lol. Though I'm not expecting much of an upgrade going from S21U to S23U either.

The S22U should be highly discounted I would assume when the S23 comes out. That said, if you're happy with your S21 Ultra, why not just keep it? It's still great and will be for a long time. I can't believe it's two years old already. I am a bit behind in this regard though being that I just got mine in fall of last year, obviously a lot of people such as yourself have had it longer.

That's the age-old question around these parts! It would be a bigger jump going from the S21 to the S23 -- you may see more improvements than going from, say, the S21 to S22.

The main reason I would guess is for the inbuilt S Pen silo.

Some people just want to upgrade, especially after having the phone for a while! For me, sometimes it's that but usually I choose to upgrade when my phone starts to show its age (lag, battery issues, etc).

Will definitely keep my s21ultra, always knew I would. I like the s-pen, and the shape of the s22/23 ultra, I was going to get the Note 20 Ultra before finding the s21ultra 256gb, 200.00 cheaper.

The S23 Ultra is the S22 Ultra with a newer processor and a 200 megapixel camera. That's it. So you're basically buying the same phone twice. Personally, I'm ready for Samsung to stop making cameras and start making phones again.

Floss is calling this phone "Galactus 2.0." Lol. Galactus was nickname for the S22 Ultra.

The 256gb variant of the S23 Ultra only features 8gb of RAM. There is no 128gb model anymore, which is a good thing if you ask me. But last year's S22 Ultra 128gb only had 8gb of RAM as well. Basically Samsung keeps taking crap away, trying to push people to buy the most expensive model. Now if you want 12gb of RAM, you have to get the 512gb model at least. That's bullcrap.

People will argue that 8gb is enough... That's not the point. 12gb has been the standard for Samsung for awhile now, stop taking crap away. My 2019 Note 10 plus had 12gb, my S21 Ultra 256gb has 12gb.

I'm coming from a note 10+5g so I just ordered a refurb S22 ultra. I don't need the fancy camera of the s23u so I figured I will get the s22u for a few years. Should be arriving later this afternoon

Ebay (reputable seller that I have purchased 3 previous phones). Just got it yesterday and it's in fantastic condition. 12 GB RAM/256 GB version. I can't even fill up 128 GB but I will likely keep this phone for a while.
