Can't use Twitter on my Pixel 4 after Android 13 update

Some time after my Pixel 4 received the Android 13 update, I stopped being able to use the Twitter app. Twitter does come up, but basically freezes after an initial screen comes up (see attachment).



I don't see this problem on my laptop (running Chrome on Ubuntu 22.04), or my old iPad, and I noticed I'm able to post to Twitter via the API of certain other Android apps like NoteEverything. I've already taken the step of uninstalling and reinstalling Twitter, without success. Is this a known issue?

You are not alone, other users have experienced the same problem after September security patch and Twitter are aware of the problem. There's a workaround that worked for many people though. Turn notifications ON and see if it makes any difference.

My wife's Pixel 5 had this problem. It seemed to be solved by clearing the app cache and data in Settings>Apps, then force stopping and opening again.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried doing this before turning on notifications but even after a forced stop and restart the problem persisted.
