Tonight, I was trying to wrap up testing various widgets on the Droid X so I can finally get down to writing a first impressions piece for my blog. As I went to enter my ID and password, I noticed that keyboard started to add double characters or miscellaneous characters not even close to where I had my finger. When I went to delete the text, the keyboard went even more haywire. As I pressed delete, a number of keys started to light up like the railroad crossing scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

After a power cycle, the keyboard seems to be back to normal, but it's something I'm going to keep an eye on. I'll report back in this thread if the problem persists. Please share if you've experienced a similar problem with the keyboard (multi-touch or Swype).
