Fitetv Box (not stick or cube) wont boot up

I have a fire tv box that wont boot up
when i plug it in it blinks then flashes the Amazon logo then go black
any suggestions

Welcome to Android Central! How old is it? Is it still under warranty? Have you tried contacting Amazon support?

I dont know how old its a first gen . i got if off a friend thinkng it could fix it , but no luck
i have tried holding the menu button while powering on and it didnt boot
also look at a few sites too

Tried it many times and it wont let me me in

It's probably a hardware problem, then. That would require a repair shop -- sorry!
