Hold the home button and power button at the same time. Same way to take a screen shot of any other screen. I just tried it and it worked fine for me.

Just tried that & Home-Power doesn't do a screen capture on any window or lockscreen. I had tried that & tried all the others tricks to. All work except Home-Power for all screens & none work for Lockscreen.

Just to be sure, you are holding both buttons for at least a couple of seconds and not the quick iPhone way, correct?

Every way possible .... it just goes to sleep on the lock screen after a couple of seconds & on any other screen nothing happens. I press/hold the Home & then immediately press & hold the power button & keep holding both.

Take your phone and press BOTH the home and power button at the same time and hold for a second.
