How to delete Profile Pictures from the Gallery

I have added pictures to my contacts but all the profile picture is appearing in the gallery. How do I delete the profile pictures which are appearing in the gallery?

If you use a 3rd party gallery like Quickpic instead, you can choose exactly what folders you want displayed or which ones you want excluded.
Not sure why they don't improve this in the stock gallery, they already have the content to display setting but it's so limited it's pointless imo.

You mean that it couldn't be done on the stock gallery itself??? As I have the stock one for now.

Select the picture in the gallery and find the details to locate the folder it is in. Go to that folder in ES File Explorer and create an empty file called .nomedia (note the starting period). That tells Gallery not to look there.
