Is it possible to Root AT&T Galaxy S5 Active on 6.0.1

Without bricking this phone, can I just use odin to downgrade to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 and root? I just got this old phone not too long ago, and it is AT&T unlocked, I'm paying it as a pre-paid plan and I just want it rooted. I can't seem to find any recent videos on rooting it with the new 6.0.1 update. I of course have tried many one click root methods but none seem to work... as I expected knowing that Verizon (my old carrier, which is best friends with AT&T) locked everything down so it couldn't be rooted or on any custom rom). Any suggestions?

Check the Verizon S5 forums at XDA Forums. If not, see [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN. (Flashing a ROM isn't difficult, it's boring.) 4.4.2 is easy to root. (It's what I'm running now, since running Safestrap on 4.4.4 is a hassle.)
