Is the Samsung Galaxy A40 dual sim active or dual sim standby?

I tried Google but with no luck.

A friend is using one of these phones with a SIM of a British carrier in slot 1 and a SIM of a Spanish carrier in slot 2. Slot 2 for data and slot 1 for calls. All sorts of problems with SIM error messages.

It may be because of using sims from different countries that you are getting the errors. I have an s10+ and use 2 sims and can move between them flawlessly. But my sims are both British
