issue with gallery and apps

[Android Central Question]

I tried googling my issue with no luck before asking here. My daughter had a moto g play OS11. I bought her a moto g power OS12. When we got it setup and she logged onto her google account it restored every photo in her gallery correctly. It reinstalled all her apps. When she goes to send a photo in instagram or snapchat though it will not give her all the photos in her gallery. It only shows about 30 photos. It used to show her whole gallery. I do not see a setting in either app for selecting folders or browsing either. It used to work correctly on the old phone. I couldnt find anything on google and shes bummed out. Any suggestions? TIA
