I recently had to do a factory reset on my Samsung Tab S2 tablet. I have run into an issue where a Sports app that I had been using is no longer available on Google Play (at least to me running V7). I am not a heavy duty user and am now seeing that V7 is no longer supported. So no more security updates and more problems like this.
My tablet SW is "up to date". So am I correct in assuming that I will not be able to upgrade to a later version of Android?
In particular the software vendor (V1Sports) told me that "In order to comply with Google's rules we had to drop older versions."
So I assume that this means that any app that has been updated since V7 support was dropped will present the same problem (on my device) if I try to install it. Is that also correct? It kind of says that I am at end of life on this device, I guess.
Thanks.
