My screen won't turn off

I can't turn off my gs4, the power button works only when I hold it down to power all the way off or restart but not to turn off the screen. I have tried battery pulls, wake lock detector, apps that turn off the screen (they take me straight to my lockscreen) and even a hard reset. Nothing is working, please help. Thanks

My unskilled and unqualified diagnosis is: a faulty power button or circuit. But a diagnosis from a qualified repairer would be better. Even for someone like that, a remote diagnosis would be uncertain, so I think the answer is to take it in to a repair shop. I doubt that there's anything that we could recommend, that you could try yourself.
