My widgets are gone with new AT&T update! Samsung Galaxy S4

I did the newest update from AT&T this morning on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and the widgets I had installed are gone. The widgets tab in the app drawer is no longer there, either. How do I get my widgets back?

All my widgets are missing from the widget screen that I use to drag them onto any of my pages. Every one of them. When I click the widgets icon, it's just a blank screen.

Exactly the same problem on Samsung S9 (Verizon)

I have exactly the same problem on my S9! I do still have a few widgets that continue to work, but no list, and no apparent way to install a new widget!
