Phone powers on, screen is black BUT if i fail my biometrics the phone screen turns on.

This is incredibly difficult to find a solution to. When I press the power key my phone does nothing. The screen turns on if I fail my biometrics though specifically my fingerprint lock. I can open the phone then.

Well, in order to try to fix the issue I decided to get rid of lock screen which had me remove my biometrics to see if it would just turn on. Now the screen will only turn on if plugged in. Can't add back fingerprints which I assume has something to do with my cracked screen.

The screen turned on without being plugged in before I removed my fingerprints, this is not a battery issue. Please for the love of god, this is not a battery issue. That's the only solution for this issue everywhere and I can tell my black screen is very different.

You can try going into safe mode , which device? Sounds like will need a repair shop to look at what's going on.
