It's sturgeon spawning time in Wisconsin. I wanted to keep my distance from the DNR/university workers watching over it, which is why I'm rather far back. There's a sign saying no watching from this side in part because of them and it's next to a busy receiving dock (I'm delivering there now), so I just snapped a few quick shots and went back to my truck.

You can see their fins jutting out of the water.

Like I mentioned in the last post, this side of the river is next to a busy truck receiving dock. Access to this bank is only by coming through the mill's property. It's kind of hard to make out, but there is a large crowd on the opposite bank. Heck, I even saw a tour bus coming in at one point for watchers. Shortly after taking those photos, I noticed the DNR team netting some of the fish and start tagging them. So I'm guessing the sign is to also allow them to work without crowds getting in the way.
