Rooting the Gear S - experiences

Hi there ..It seems that not too many of us have rooted their gear s. What are your experience either for or against root ? By the way is it possible to install apk files without rooting ?

I rooted mine with no issues, I did it mainly for the themes. Yes you can instal apk files without rooting, you just need to make sure the usb debugging is on and your sdb.exe your files onto the watch. Works great no issues here.

Oh that sounds great with the apk ...do you have a link where the process is explained as it's best ...I tried it already and it didn't work for me

The key thing is make sure you have the wgt in the same folder as the sdb.exe or it wont work. Here is a good place to start....... gearfaces.com/?page_id=6731 ......... I am getting ready to make a thread with a bunch of wgts, with some apps and watch faces.
