Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 Battery Drain

[Android Central Question]

Every so often (once every few weeks, sometimes every week) both my phone (Pixel 2) and my watch suddenly both start a massive battery drain.
I figured out if I go on my phone and "Reset app preferences" it resolves the issue.
Is there a permanent fix that doesn't affect all my other phone apps?
