Screen durability

I had a screen protector on my last phone and got one on my mini. The guy did a horrible job and I took it off. I'm wondering if I really need it with gorilla glass 3. I work at a desk and keep my phone in its own pocket. The most abrasive surface it runs is the decal on my shirt

I stopped using screen protectors since my Moto X and haven't had any new scratches.

Stupid question... Would t-shirt iron on type decal be too abrasive on gorilla glass 3?

I would think not since you watch scratch tests with knives and keys. But then sand can destroy it.

So should it be OK?

As long as there isn't any sand on it I guess you would be fine.
