There is a small white (semi-transparent) bar on the side of my screen when using apps such as YouTube or some games.

I can drag it up and down or move it to the other side of the screen. If I drag it towards the center it disappears.

Simply pressing it doesn't cause any action. If I press and hold it jt just gets bigger and goes back to normal size after release.

I already tried unistalling some applications that might have caused it (based on other threads on this forum) but it didn't help

I would like to add a screenshot but it doesn't allow me.

The phone is POCO X3 Pro.

The assistant menu is off.

I havent tried to enter safe mode yet. I'll try now and let you know how it went.

I also tried adding the screenshot. Hope it worked.

The bar is on the left side of the screen.

If it's still on in safe mode that rules out any 3rd party apps or application, might be a feature on your device go through your settings menu look for anything there .

Here's the photo of how it looks like.

I tried changing every screen setting I found, but nothing worked. The only thing that changed is that sometimes the bar disappears by itself. But it comes back anyway after opening the app again.

The bar is not really interrupting me with anything. It's just annoying, like a dead pixel.

I just hope it's not something dangerous.

I have that on mine. You can turn it off, have it only appear on some media apps, or have a different function.

I don't know why yours doesn't open, you may be doing it incorrectly.

It's a Video Toolbox, a Game Turbo and with MIUI 13 it also just brings out a vertical list of app icons you can customise (similar to the Quick Ball curve in Additional Settings) , which spps I think will open in a small window.
I forget atm.

Anyway, do you have Settings -Special Features - Side Bar?

Like this : (I'm not sure about the Game Turbo type option now)

Flick the bar to the right with a left finger. There are 30 app icons, 6 visible, with a plus sign at the bottom.

ADDED: The one useful feature I use in the vVdeo Toolbox is being able to keep a YT video running on audio only and close the screen.

I think that's it. I turned off the Video Tools in Special Options and it disappeared on YouTube. It still shows up in games but I did nothing with Game Turbo so probably that's why.

Now I wonder why it doesn't work how it supposed to.

I also don't have the Sidebar option in the special options.

I have MIUI 12.5. Maybe that's the reason.

I'm not sure but that bar does most likely have to do something with those options.

EDIT * I'm sure Video Toolbox was on 12.5 with that bar, but the Side Bar apps shortcut is new for me on 13. *

Do you have both Additional Settings and Special Features options in the Settings Menu. I think the Quick Ball feature makes the Side Bar's icons (new in MIUI 13) superfluous.

I don't remember the Settings on MIUI 12.5 but it's probably called Video Toolbox under one of the above Settings. Perhaps it had a Game feature as well.

It could be under a different Setting. When playing a You Tube video I'm surprised you can't do anything with the bar. Perhaps they never finalised it for your model (*what is it * Poco X3 Pro! ) but that would be unusual.

Video Toolbox or Game Turbo something.
That's all I can think of.
Have you seen the Toolbox window on my shot if you ignore the Side Bar aops?

Keep trying, and I'm sure you can turn it off for media spps somewhere.
