Tab Pro 8.4 "back" button question

Is it normal behavior on the Tab Pro 8.4 when pressing the back button (capacitive, to the right of the home button) that it requires a longer touch than other android devices? Seems to need about a half second to "activate" the button. If it it's normal behavior, can that be changed?

Does anything happen if you just tap the button? Has this always been the case on your device or did it start recently?

No it should only require a tap just like all other android devices.

You might be pressing on an area that isn't activating the button correctly.I know I've done that before. Seems to have a shorter button footprint than other devices
