I'm using Nokia 5. And quite happy with it.
However you may try the latest android releases from them.

iPhone SE.
Nokia 6.1.
Asus ZenFone V.
LG Q6.
Honor 7X.
Moto G6 Play.

My Nuu mobile G3 is better than at least three phones on this list .

My Umidigi One Pro is a good choice too if you want a lot of features for cheap. I only paid 160 for wireless charging fast charge NFC otg support and 4gb of ram with 64gb of storage.

7. ZTE Blade V8 Pro
9. Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom

We also have a phone that wasn't listed. The LG G5. Pretty capable phone at a bargain price.

I would like to go with Xiaomi due to stack android. Its MIUI is almost like a stack android and cause of running very fast without annoying any type of third party application.

I bought my daughter the Honor 7X and it's an awesome phone. She's very happy.

Then again, she only texts, watches YouTube and plays Roblox.

It's the MotoG6 play which isn't listed in my opinion.
