What third-party chargers are you using for TurboPower/Fast Charging on the Moto Z?

Is that the hard wired one with the micro USB? VZW suggested the Samsung to me, which does not work. Do you just use a USB C converter?

Nope it's black and red Verizon branded and has a fixed usbc cable attached permanently to it.
This is the one. Weird thing is the one reviewer said it didn't work w droid force. No clue what they are talking about as I have a force and it works perfect. Turbo charge and all. I have not tested it for charge times etc. Only plugged it in, saw it enable turbo charge and called it a day.

I called customer service prior to going to a retail store and testing it out. They had no clue if any of the Verizon branded chargers would work.
At the store we tested out the Verizon branded usb c cable fast charger. It will also say turbo charging and then charge the battery mod. So far those are the only 2 chargers I've found that will charge the battery mod, besides the supplied charger.

Thanks Ericf. I just swapped the Samsung for this. It does work. I just wish it didn't have the hideous attached coiled cable.

I bought the Verizon branded usb c fast charger to be able to charge my battery mod without any worries.

But since that is the only USB C to USB C cable that I now own I figured I would look on Amazon for a few of them.

There are a lot with a lot of different charging/data transfer speeds. So I spoke to Verizon tech support to verify speed of the cable that came with that charger. It's 2.0 speed with a transfer rate of 480 mb/s.
Amazon and monoprice.com have several different rated cables from 2.0,3.0, and 3.1. But the faster it is the higher the price too.
Since there are so many different ones out there figured I would share that we could buy the cheaper 2.0 speed cables.

I had to drain my battery mod first to test

First - to be clear, any charger will charge the batter mod AFTER the phone gets to 100%.
The VZW Car Turbo does not charge the battery mod at the same time as the phone. BUT my stock Force Turbo charger does not charge both at the same time.
The VZW Car Turbo Charger is faster then the QC2.0 ad QC3.0 chargers I have (they are both about the same), but not as fast at the AC brick (not surprising).

Agree - BUT they charge at a rate much faster than a non QC charger. I get 1200+ mAmp reported via Ampere on my QC chargers, and around 2200+ on the VZW Turbo charger.

Should be delivered today. I'll let you know. I needed to do something besides a power strip. That was on a lightning deal so it cheap. I still use my turbo, nexus 7, and nexus 10. So needed the USB A ports, and now have use for the USB C ports.

But even if it doesn't turbo charge it should be fast. Supposed to be 78 watt total. So it will fast charge I think. I'll edit this later and let you know.

Car charger that gets the turbocharging toast activated (only tested for a few minutes battery was at 56% and was charging at around 2300 amps.
I don't know that I would pay the extra dollar for the coiled cable, probably would have preferred the straight one. You also basically get for free a micro usb/usb c adapter for free with a current offer. I haven't received that yet.
