Android Central Question

Yesterday my Samsung s9 plus was uppgraded to Android 9 Pie. After the upgrade, when making an ordinary voice call, I can't hear the other party and they can't hear me. The ring signal works as it should when someone calls me. I can also make calls to others. However, I can't hear them speaking and they can't hear me speaking. But, when I plug in an ordinary headset, I can hear them and they can hear me. Also, if I put them on speaker, I can hear them and they can hear me.

In addition, I can't hear the sound from several apps on the phone without headset, or bluetooth connection. This applies to, at least, YouTube and Spotify.

Assure Bluetooth is off. Clear the cache partition and reboot. Test your microphone by making a short video with sound. Place phone in safe mode if it still is silent. If still not working,, time for a reset or a diagnistic/repair.
