Why does a call stop me from doing anything else on my phone?

[Android Central Question]

I've never had this problem with other phones. But I bought a Galaxy J2 and when someone calls, the call takes up the whole screen. I can't continue doing what I'm doing until the all has ended. How do I make that stop?

You check your phone app in its settings can choose pop up, full screen, mini pop up, do you have that option?
