Why is my Media & System volumes stuck on mute??

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy A6. This a.m. I woke up & my ringtone & notification volumes are fine & I can control them (move the volume up or down). But the media & system volume are just stuck on mute. Cannot change it with the side buttons, on the touch screen, or in settings!!! I read other forums for different Samsung's & they said to install a Task Killer & close all open apps and that should fix it. It didn't. Any advice PLEASE??

Yeah, you'd think they would be a good point of contact for help, but in all honesty (and this goes for any carrier) that help can be hit or miss; Hope to see you around the forums; It's always nice to see new people jumping in and contributing;
