Z Fold 3 and Dust

So, yesterday I began my search for a new phone. For years I have used the Note series...but keep hearing that is likely over so I've expanded my search.

Went to Verizon with no rational reason to look at a folding phone...I just didn't get it. But...I looked at it and as I researched it more at home I found I was actually leaning toward getting one next week. And then I read that it had no dust protection.

I am a woodworking hobbiest...spend many afternoons and weekends in the shop...and I usually keep my phone close at hand or recording my work.. This means I am very concerned about the lack of dust protection. So much so I may now be leaning toward the S21 Ultra.

Any reason I should reconsider the Z Fold 3?

Fold 3 is IPX8 which means no official dust protection...that would probably make it a bad combo for you .. Upcoming S22 will most likely be the new Note series

Try see if Amazon has enclosed case to prevent any dust Ingesting

I agree. The S22 Ultra looks to be a direct Note replacement with spen in a silo, boxy design etc.
