My Rezound is acting up. My replacement will be here by 3pm tomorrow. I mean today. I doubt they would be sending me anything if my SIII was going to be here this week. Right? This was after 2 hours on the line chatting with tech support. Actually had a great conversation with a nice person who knew what they were talking about. Yay me!

Mine also changed from unavailable to 7/9/2012. I knew better, but I was definitely trying to convince myself that maybe it would ship sooner.

Mine says 07/10/2012. So looks like they're sticking to the dates they have had listed the entire time. Can' really complain about that.

I pre ordered in store and mine doesn't show anything other than the order number. I checked my receipt and nada. I called Verizon, they told me it's on pre order but wouldn't give me a date.

I just know eventually, I'll get a box with two GS3s in it. Um, hopefully before the year 4564654454

Same I pre ordered in store and only have a pre order number and confirmation number and a store locator number.... I have called every day to check on my phone and that all the info they have and said it was fine and they have my terms of agreement that I sogned

Yeah as long as it shows something like We received your order and it is in process,or an order number ,should be all good ..

I'd only worry if it showed order cancelled or couldnt find order number

When I pre-ordered my S3 on the phone, the customer service rep indicated a ship by date of July 11th.

This pushing back of shipping date has also occurred with the iPhone 4S when it first came out; I am guessing it might be because of the large amount of pre-orders that they have so they kind of have to ship it out in waves. Doesn't really make much sense (I mean if you have everyone's phone in at the same time, why not ship them out at the same time), however it is another viewpoint on shipping date. I highly doubt there will be a June 28th ship date (although that would be nice as my birthday is rapidly approaching - having the S3 would be nice by then!).

I pre-ordered my GS3 on June 6th at 7:10am, and up until last night, for expected ship date, it stated something like "We received your order and it is in process". Just this morning, an actual date of 07/09/2012 was posted.

Ordered mine on 06JUN12 @ 7:06am EST and my status also changed to 07JUL12. I have the patience of a 3 year old when it comes to new electronics so waiting til then is gonna be difficult but at least VZW was upfront and honest about ship date.

I preordered my S3 on 06/21. Sometime overnight last night my "Expected Ship Date" changed from "Unavailable" to "07/11/2012".
I expect to see the charge for the phone on my Credit Card on the day it ships. That is what Verizon did the last time I got a new phone.

Shipping is only half of the puzzle. It also helps keep the network traffic under control. This way they dont have millions of phones being activated and added to the network all at once. The bottom line is that the earlier you ordered, the earlier it ships.
