Can use Gesture navigation with a case on

Sorry - title should read Can't use gesture navigation with case...

I have a case on my Pixel 3XL - which I need since I have cracked the back glass. I find with the case I can not use the back function WITHOUT moving the case aside a bit, so I can get the to the absolute edge. I like the new navigation, but it is unusable for me. Anyone else seeing this? It seems they need to adjust the 'zone' to start the swipe from left.

It is a bit awkward with the case right there, but it seems to work okay with a little bit more deliberate of a flick. I have an Incipio DualPro case

Did you try adjusting the sensitivity for the gesture?

Have 3 different cases for my 3a and the gestures work fine on all 3. One of the 3 for some reason is a bit more difficult than the other 2, but still not bad.
