Hello, I'm wondering if someone can help. I replaced the motherboard on my dell venue 7 3740 tablet because the charging port broke, otherwise everything was working fine. Now the touch screen is not responding at all, even in safe mode, but the volume and power buttons are. I've been searching the internet for solutions but haven't found any yet and if I had a warranty it's probably expired by now and I probably voided it. I don't know my service tag number but I'm not sure if it matters since it's a different motherboard that I got from amazon. The tablet runs android 4.4.4 I appreciate any advice!

First, if the motherboard is different, that could be the problem.

Second, you might not have connected the screen cable fully.

(And third, you may end up having to bring it to a repair shop to get it fixed [and pay for it].)

Thank you for your reply. I've been wondering if it's the screen cable but i'm not even sure which cable that is exactly, like where it is. I tried looking for diagrams but haven't found any.
