Lock screen changes with reboot! Marshmallow issues.

Just got the Sprint Marshmallow update and it seems a bit buggy.

I have two questions:

1. Is there ANY WAY to get back to the lollipop type lock screen? I hate having to swipe AND put in my pattern. Why should I have to do the extra swipe step when before the pattern screen popped right up!

2. I have had custom lock screens since I have had androids...but thanks to this dumb update...anytime I turn my phone off and back on, it loses my custom lock screen and back to the default. I like my custom screen and I want to keep it!

Any way that I can turn off my phone and have my custom lock screen too?
