I have little locked padlocks on my Android 10 Firefox & WhatsApp apps which prevents me from properly closing them. How do I remedy this please?

Just spent nearly 30 Min going through my apps & notifications, privacy & security settings, but cannot for the life of me find anything that could help.

I tried to get familiar with your device online and couldn't find that setting

What version of Android is it running? You can find out by going to Settings>About Phone.

Also, when you tap the app icon to bring up the menu that says App Info and Split Screen, what happens if you tap the lock icon then?

It looks like each app's window has a 3-dot menu button at the upper right -- what happens if you tap that?

Is there anything in the system settings about "cleaning RAM"? I wonder if there's some setting (or app) that aggressively kills apps in the background, which might have an option to keep certain apps from being killed.

It's easy...
Press square and swipe left or right until your on the app with locked padlock.

Put your thumb on screen then..

Drag it down slightly and release (image that the page has a spring underneath it and your trying to make it fly through the top of your phone !)
