Twicca turned me into a twitter addict. The name caught my attention and I loved the white on black minimalist look. Love the in-app picture viewer and multiple add-ons.

Yep and yep. The UI on Twicca just does it for me. Sure it only handles one Twitter account, but it does so VERY well. I've tried nearly all these clients and Twicca is the one I keep coming back to. Plus, it's free. :p

Oh, and if you're part of the 20% who's using the stock Twitter client, do yourself a favor and try Twicca...it's vastly superior and getting better all the time (an update comes out like every few weeks).

Hi All,

I've been a reader of Androidcentral for quite some time, and have 20+ years with cell phones. My current companion is a T-Mobile mytouch 3G. It's been pretty faithful even with the abuse it's received - often in the cold, rain, and desert heat during my bike trips.

It's time to shop for a new phone. The current crop is impressive and I'm anxious to see some of the coming offerings, most notably the HTC Sensation and the Samsung GS2.

I'll be sticking my nose in the this site and forums to see what's up. Maybe I can even offer some old guy's wisdom once on a while.

Best regards,
Don

Twitter for HTC Sense, I just wish it had autocomplete and multiple accounts merged into one stream.

Best twitter client I've seen is PockeTwit, too bad it's only for WM6.x

I would so use Tweetdeck if they get rid of that boring gray color, it would be great if it is customizable like Plume. Autofill is a must for me also and Tweetdeck does not support it.

I've used every Twitter client listed (assuming Teetdeck is Tweetdeck :p) there but I always come back to Plume. It has everything I need and like in a Twitter client.

Tweetdeck. For all the reasons previously mentioned. Customizable in a lot of ways, integration into Facebook (Foursquare and Buzz are available too), can handle multiple accounts, Chrome app on my desktop, and the list goes on. I've tried others, always come back to this.

If you have not even tried Plume then you are not using Plume. :)
It has the best looking interface I have seen in a Twitter app and the way it works is smooth and easy but has bite like a good beer. i:)i

Used plume for a good while and found it was what was hanging my home screen when coming out of sleep. Changed to colorize widget which is alot like htc twitter client or lpps twitter widget and has been great so far.

So Tweetdeck seems so popular here, I just downloaded it and tried it. Any particular reason that there seems to be no setting that will show you the time stamp of the tweets in your timeline?

Do you really have to open up every tweet in Tweetdeck to see WHEN it was sent? Please tell me I am missing some setting somewhere, otherwise WTF?

timestamp is displayed at the top of the app in the main bar (right under the Notifications bar). Whatever tweet is at the top of the screen is the time that will display. It's a moving target. Also opening individual updates will give you the time for that particular one.:-!

I've loved Twidroyd since day one. I've had a few issues when it wouldn't show my mentions unless I logged into my account every time and when it wouldn't autocomplete mentions to other users if I had Swype on.

Now the bugs are fixed.

I like Seesmic as well because it shows other people's mentions. If Twidroyd integrated that feature, I'd use it exclusively.

I also have the default Twitter app donwloaded as well as Tweetcaster. I hardly ever use Tweetcaster.

Twicca is by far the best, smooth vibrant and good on battery (Evo)... tweetdeck interface is blah, tweetcaster and plume load time is too slow. Seesmic is 2nd best just bc it doesnt look as smooth as Twicca
