No Google Keyboard for Galaxy Note II

Why is Google Keyboard not available for Samsung Galaxy Note II despite being Android 4.4.2? When I type "Google Keyboard" in Play Store, the app doesn't show up. So I used the Internet on my phone to access the app. When I tried to download it, an error message appears saying that the app is not compatible with my device. This is really frustating since the update to 4.4.2, it's impossible to type properly with my Samsung Keyboard. Letters and words just double randomly, no matter how slow you type. It seems to happen more often after typing a symbol. If you select a suggested word, the whole word is added instead of only completing the word. Strangly, Google Input apps for foreign language do work.
