Verizon i535 running with ATT sim question

I've got an i535 running an AT&T sim with a few issues. I would like to know how to turn off the "+" that indicates international calls, from all unknown incoming calls.

It's really annoying, because I can't simply call someone back. If they aren't in my address book, I need to either add them and edit the number, or edit the number straight out, and just deal with the "+" sign.

Also, what ROM would you suggest to get rid of all the Verizon/Samsung bloatware that is useless to me running AT&T.
