My galaxy s4 can"t RECEIVE daughters iphone texts but my husbands S4 can? why

I have went round and round over this imessage thing with my daughter. I have never had iphone. She gets my texts but I cant get hers she can send texts to my husband exact same galaxy s4 so how can this be and they go through?

Have her send you a text (anything, even a single letter or word). Have her make sure she marks it to send as text (SMS), not as an iMessage. She's sending you Messages, which you can't receive. Once she sends you a text message, her phone will always send messages to your number as text.

(Apple claims to be working on the problem - it's on their end.)
