Why is my battery too drained to charge?

battery too drained to charge?

my battery won't charge, because the phone turns on,displays the charging animation for 2 seconds and then switches off and turns back on again. there is not enough power to load the charging animation.and it won't charge without animation.what can i do to charge the battery?(my phone is a samsung galaxy note, slim kat rom, rooted)

The Note is a 3 year old phone. Unless you've taken particularly good care of the battery (conditioned it before use, never discharge it more than 60%, never let it get warmer than you'd be comfortable being), it's way past the end of its life. Replace it. A good replacement is only about $10 (check on Amazon).
